Résumé : | This is an overview of the VET system in Hungary. Information is presented according to the following themes : 1. External factors influencing VET : population and demographics ; political and socio-economic context ; educational attainment of the population ; the economy and the labour market. 2. Providing vocational education and training in a lifelong learning perspective : diagrams of the education and training system ; other forms of training. 3. Shaping VET qualifications : statistical description of the labour market and analysis of its processes ; anticipation of skill needs, labour market supply and demand ; career tracking of school leavers ; shaping and continuous development of qualification structure and content ; the transformation of the institutional structure of IVET ; overhaul of the examination system ; increasing participation of the actors of the economy in VET. 4. Promoting participation in vocational education and training : financial incentives ; regulatory instruments ; guidance and counselling structures and services ; campaigns and competitions.
